Trifecta (Part I) - EQUINOX

A vortex of shadows and light rushed towards her as she sprinted through the woods —

She could hear his laughter, shortly ahead of her, mingling with the rustling of leaves and branches being crushed under his joyous jogging. A joke led to a chase and honestly.

She wasn’t sure if the nervous feeling at the base of her neck was a forewarning of danger or a thrill sensor. But she trusted that he’d preserve her no matter what.

As he seemed to slow down, she caught him by the shoulders,

Only to be spun and grabbed from behind.

Her heart raced as she felt them go down onto the wooded floor brushed with fallen twigs and leaves.

He made sure to break the short fall,

His back to the earth and her chest diagonally across his.

Just as she began to glare at him,

He called her attention above to the harvest moon glowing brightly,

Boldly atop the trees,

She gasped and clung to him,

Pressing her nails into his body.

Captivated and mesmerized by the lunar crystal ball,

She could feel a sudden gusty breeze as her breath seemed to escape her in exchange for the zephyr of night,

The pace of the wind was soon matched by the up-tempo of her heartbeat,

Panting as the chill of the night transformed into a warmth of fire in her veins

A dark hunger lit in her ambered core.

Her eyes darted down to him,

Where he submissively & obediently locked into her gaze.

A low-viscous drip of gleaming scarlet secreting from a gash,

The faint sight of it enthralled him,

Heart racing,

Eyes shifting past the brush,

As he rushed her into the air,

To a tree right beneath the moon.

She was reduced to a whimper —

Coming to tide with each shiver.

Body on fire, wet,

Swept with the wind,

On a rock hard dick.

To address her crimson desires,

He was wind to her flame,

Earth to her flood and breathed her open like a storm.

To quiet her pulse with his own and insatiable cycle stood no chance against his thirst,

To drink from the well of her wanting.

He was consuming her.

And she loved every piece.

Every inch further devoured —

A slow demise but sweet relief.

A slow drip tapped Cambria’s muddy forehead, mimicking the pounding in her temples. She jumped awake hitting her already aching head on the back of the bus stop she was sitting at.

It was misting rain and overcast but the brightness of the autumn sun still gleamed behind the gray clouds. Cambria stood up squinting as she looked up at the stop’s marquee. It was 7:15am on Sunday.

She could only recall deciding to finally do something with her Saturday afternoon after crying all morning, but nothing after that. She looked down at herself and cupped her hands to her mouth when she saw she wasn’t in her safe outfit. It was as if someone else had dressed her. She frantically patted herself for her phone, pulling it from an inside pocket of the metallic jacket she had on. Her phone was on 1%. She anxiously attempted to unlock her phone but locked herself out for 1 minute. Each second felt like time was melting away as she tried her damnedest to recall what she had done. The grains of sand piled up with every bit longer it took to get her dying phone unlocked.

5…4…3…2…1…

Cambria took a deep breath and typed in her passcode. It opened to her home screen and she immediately went to her messages. Her train of hope had been derailed as the screen went black.

As she placed her phone back into the inside pocket of the jacket, she heard something tap the glass and crumple. She wiggled her fingers and grabbed what felt like a chain wrapped in paper. A slow pull from the pocket revealed a silver chain necklace with a crystal shaped pendant within a note. Cambria open the note and looked at the scribbled writing, it read:

You’re welcome ;)

~ Karina

She felt the color flood from her body as she looked at the name on the note. That was Cambria’s handwriting. She lifted the necklace and as the ruby red pendant swayed in the rain she couldn’t believe what she saw;

It was a vial of blood…
